David D Caron serves as a Judge with the Iran - United States Claims Tribunal in the Hague and as Professor of International Law at King’s College. His practice focuses on public and private international dispute resolution. He has served as arbitrator, lead counsel and expert in both private and public international arbitral proceedings. He is specialised in construction, maritime, ocean boundaries and environmental matters. He was chair of the Institute of Transnational Arbitration from 2005 to 2009. From 2010 to 2012, he was president of the American Society of International. He is a member of the California State Bar and the Bar of England and Wales. Presently, David Caron is President of the ICSID Tribunal in the Vladislav Kim v. Uzbekistan dispute and a member of the ICSID Tribunal in the Novera v. Bulgaria dispute. Additionally, he sits as arbitrator in an ICC commercial arbitration and in an ad hoc UNCITRAL arbitration.
